CORPORATE AFFILIATIONS
Our corporate and community affiliations are important to the success of our business and our communities.

ACES Power Marketing
ACES Power Marketing, located in Indianapolis, was created by electric cooperatives to protect cooperative and customer interests in the energy markets. As an owner, Wabash Valley Power Association helps to establish direction for this ever-evolving part of the cooperative business. ACES Power has become the nationally-recognized energy marketing and risk-management company for several cooperatives throughout the country.

Cooperative Research Network (CRN)

The Cooperative Research Network® (CRN) is a service of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The mission of the Cooperative Research Network is to monitor, evaluate and apply technologies that help electric cooperative utilities control costs, increase productivity, and enhance service to their consumer-members.

CRN meets its mission through collaborative research into a wide range of technologies and services. This research may result in the development of new products and services of particular value to the cooperative.

Indiana Statewide Association of RECs, Inc.
The Indiana association was the first electric cooperative association in the nation, formed soon after the adoption of the Rural Electrification Act of 1935. Our affiliation with the association gives us access to skilled professionals who provide a wide range of specialized services. They are actively involved with our national affiliates and provide expertise and input on state and national issues that affect Indiana's electric cooperative industry.

National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA)
Founded in 1942, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) is the national service organization dedicated to representing the national interests of cooperative electric utilities and the consumers they serve. The NRECA Board of Directors oversees the association’s activities and consists of more than 900 member cooperatives who serve 40 million people in 47 states.
NRECA has always been an advocate for consumer-owned cooperatives on energy and operational issues as well as rural community and economic development.

National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC)
The National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) represents the advanced telecommunications and information technology interests of more than 1,400 rural utilities and affiliates in 47 states. Founded in 1986, NRTC provides products and services developed specifically to meet the needs of rural utilities and their customers, such as high-speed Internet access via satellite, full service Internet access and support, wireless technologies, long distance programs, mobile phone service, IP broadband backbone services, and direct broadcast satellite service (DBS) with DIRECTV.

National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC)
Formed in 1969, the National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation (CFC) is a member-owned financial institution that provides state-of-the-art financial products to its approximately 1,050 electric cooperative members located in 49 states, District of Columbia, and three U.S. territories.

CFC is the premier private-market lender for the nation's electric cooperatives. It is an independent source of financing that supplements the credit programs of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Utilities Service (RUS). By maintaining high credit standards and credit ratings, CFC delivers superior quality products at a reasonable cost.

Touchstone Energy®
Jasper County REMC is proud to be a Touchstone Energy cooperative. This affiliation means we are a part of a national alliance of local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives providing high standards of service to customers large and small. Touchstone Energy cooperatives serve their members with integrity, accountability, innovation and a longstanding commitment to communities.

Wabash Valley Power Association
Jasper County REMC is a member of Wabash Valley Power Association (WVPA), a not-for-profit generation and transmission cooperative based in Indianapolis, Indiana. WVPA provides wholesale electricity to almost 30 distribution systems in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio. Incorporated in 1963, Wabash Valley and its distribution systems provide power to more than 250,000 customers.

WVPA is a charter, founding member/owner of ACES Power Marketing and is a part of the Touchstone Energy® nationwide alliance of electric cooperatives.
