Operation RoundUp®
Jasper County REMC members have given over $250,000 to their communities through Operation Round Up!
Jasper County REMC members who volunteer for the program will have their electric bills “rounded up” to the next dollar each month. For example, rather than paying $61.95, you would pay an even $62, with the extra 5¢ going into the Operation Round Up® fund.
Five cents doesn't sound like much, but if all of our members participated at an average of $6 per year, we’d raise $48,000 in a year's time. Think about how that sum of money could be used to help organizations, emergency responders, educators, or individuals in our REMC service area, all for just a few cents per month.
Since November 2003, a nine-person board of trustees, appointed by the Jasper County REMC board of directors, has overseen the fund and issued the Round Up dollars to worthy efforts that benefit our communities. The funds are NOT issued to pay utility bills or support political candidates.
Your Operation Round Up contributions are tax deductible. |
